The Decemberists Add Tour Dates, Announce Live EP
The Decemberists have announced a new string of tour dates through the summer, including gigs at the Meriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland and the Prospect Park Bandshell in Brooklyn with Best Coast. The band have also announced that they will be releasing a live album titled Live at Bull Moose for Record Store Day on April 16th. The brick-and-mortar exclusive will feature live recordings of songs from The King is Dead as well as a cover of the Louvin Brothers' "If I Could Only Win Your Love."



Mobb Deep Rapper Released From Jail
Prodigy, half of the rap duo Mobb Deep, was released from prison this morning after serving three years for criminal possession of a weapon. The rapper was let out early for good behavior and will be under parole under 2014.

Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold Drops Surprise EP on Twitter
Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold surprised fans today by giving away a trio of songs to his followers on Twitter. The set includes "I'm Losing Myself," a duet with Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste, a solo tune called "Derwentwater Stones" and "Where Is My Wild Rose," a cover of an obscure song by New Zealand folk singer Chris Thompson.

Beady Eye Announce American Tour Dates
Beady Eye, the new band featuring Liam Gallagher of Oasis, will make their North American debut during a brief three-date tour in June. The band will hit Chicago on June 18th, Toronto on June 20th and New York City on June 23rd.

of Montreal will release a new EP called thecontrollersphere on April 26th, but the record is available now as an immediate download for those who pre-order the set as a CD, 12-inch record or t-shirt directly from Polyvinyl Records. The label is also releasing What's Weird?, a new book of artwork by the band's art director David Barnes, on the same date.
